I’ve been walking the High Line in New York City since it opened in 2009. It was interesting and novel and a bit of an adventure then. Now it is a major landmark and “go to” part of every tourist’s agenda in this fabulous city.
The area around the High Line in the Meatpacking District in Chelsea has grown and changed and morphed from a downtrodden, neglected part of the city to a hip, hop, happening place. Trendy buildings, cool hotels, buzz worthy shopping and a new Art Museum–the Whitney–have landed there.
If you go back to my blogs you can trace some of this in a brief of the moment way. I’ve done several. Here are the links.

But, what about this trip? November 2016. Seems like there is more scaffolding to protect walkers than the last trip. I see more building and shops and restaurants and development. Shocking design. Funny Sculptures. A chance to see a gorgeous sunset over the Hudson.
Here are some images. Hope you enjoy another Walk in the Park.
Here are a few scenes from near the High Line.
