If what I saw in Quebec City during the peak of the fall color and cruise ship season recently is any indication of the attention the shop owners and restauranteurs have to making their windows and doorways exude the season, I want to go back at the Christmas holidays.
The lively and picturesque French Canadian town goes all out to welcome their thousands of guests with pumpkins, vines, colorful plant material and all sorts of creative stuff. Cute. Clever. Creating photo selfie backgrounds around every corner.
I can only imagine what they will do with the time period traditionally known for knock ‘em dead decorations of Santas and snowflakes.
The mounds of pumpkins and creative efforts to enhance the historic buildings. In many cases they were more interesting than the merchandise in the shops.
